A Perfect Day of Rest at North Coast Village
Every now and then, the best days are the ones spent without ever leaving the property. North Coast Village makes that surprisingly easy. Here’s what a slow, simple day of rest looks like for us.
We like to start with the gym and the sauna. Nothing intense—just enough to wake up our joints and get the blood moving. From there, a quick dip in the pool feels wonderful, and the hot tub is the perfect warm finish.
If you have kids with you, wander over to the koi pond and let them feed the goldfish. It’s a small moment, but the little ones always light up. After that, we usually play a round of billiards in the clubhouse before heading back to the condo.
Lunch on the balcony is one of our favorite parts of the day. Watching surfers from up high never gets old, and the sound of the waves rolling in makes everything taste a little better.
Once you’ve recharged, grab the beach chairs and walk down to the sand. The beach in front of North Coast Village is wide, calm, and so easy to settle into. Listen to the waves, close your eyes for a minute, or jump into the ocean. The boogie boards in the condo are there for a reason, use them until your legs give out.
After another stop at the hot tub to warm up, it’s time to head back and clean up before dinner. We love grilling at the BBQ area, especially when we’ve picked up Cardiff Crack Roast (A delicious and famous local Tri-Tip) from Seaside Market. It’s one of those simple pleasures that feels like a treat every time.
Finish the evening on the balcony with a good meal, a glass of wine, and the sunset painting the sky right in front of you. When night settles in, you’ll fall asleep to the sound of the ocean—a rhythm we’ve never grown tired of.
Some days are meant for adventure. Others are made for rest. At North Coast Village, the restful ones are just as special.
